The agreement also sees the brand become the Premier League side’s official betting and gaming partner, with high profile brand presence in and around the DW Stadium.
Though financial details were not released, based on agreements of a similar nature 12BET’s commitment to the club is estimated to be worth a low seven-figure sum in pounds.
Rory Anderson, chief executive of 12BET Europe, said: "We are delighted to join forces with Wigan Athletic - a sponsorship that will give us great exposure both in the UK and globally, providing the perfect platform to promote our core proposition; in play football betting.
